Fertile Ground Yoga is Now Open!

Friend, I have news, and I'm so excited to share it. Fertile Ground Yoga is officially open!
I'm now a certified 200-hour yoga instructor. That means I have one more tool in my toolbox for supporting women on their fertility journeys, and I could not be more glad. I'm a registered nurse and a fertility doula. Now I can also offer something you feel in your body, not just something you read or talk through.
Why I Added Yoga to My Toolbox
Here's what I mean by "toolbox." A doula carries different tools for different needs. Information before an appointment. A listening ear on a hard day. Help thinking through a decision. Yoga is a new tool, and it's for the days when talking isn't what you need.
I've spent more than 20 years in nursing and public health and I know that fertility care isn't only medical. It's emotional. It's personal. It's spiritual, and it deserves support for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. The practice of yoga helps to support you holistically.
Fertility asks a lot of your body. It asks even more of your spirit. There's the waiting, the appointments, the not knowing. The grieving of losses. Your body carries all of it, and so does your heart. Yoga gives me a way to care for both at once. Gentle movement, steady breath, and the space to rest. It allows your body to calm down enough to focus on getting pregnant. It helps reset your nervous system and gets you out of the fight-or-flight response that might be preventing you from conceiving.
I want to be clear about what yoga is not. It's not a fertility treatment. It doesn't guarantee conception, and I will never tell you it will change your odds. It doesn't replace your doctor, your nurse, or the rest of your care team. It sits alongside them as a complementary practice to your healthcare. It gives you a place to rest, to breathe, and to build tools for coping with what you're carrying.
Fertile Ground Yoga
This is not just exercise. It's a practice that helps you tend what's yours to tend: your mind, body, and spirit. Four beliefs shape every class.
Movement as care, not performance. Yoga isn't about getting into the perfect pose. Some days, it looks like gentle stretching. Other days, it looks like sitting still and breathing. Both count.
Breath as an anchor. When your mind is racing or your heart feels heavy, your breath is something you can always come back to.
Meeting you where you are. Trying to conceive, in treatment, pregnant, or in another season, this practice won't ask you to rush through what you're carrying.
Rooted in faith. This is for the woman who is grounded in her beliefs, her values, and her purpose. It doesn't only calm your body. It anchors your spirit.
Upcoming Events: Slow Flow Yoga for Busy Moms
Fertile Ground Yoga will launch with a six-week online series called Slow Flow Yoga for Busy Moms. I'm launching it for the friends and family who supported me through my training, and for any busy mom who needs to take this time for herself.
You're pulled in a hundred directions every day. This series is a chance to come back to yourself. The pace is gentle, and there's nothing to prove. Each class pairs gentle movement with breathwork, scripture, and affirmations. Faith is part of my life, and it's part of my classes. Scripture and affirmations give your mind something steady to hold while your body moves. If your faith feels strong right now, come. If it feels tired or tangled, come anyway. You don't have to have it figured out.
Over six weeks, we'll focus on:
Hips and pelvis
Legs
Arms
Back
Full body
Recovery, our closing week
Classes will meet on Saturdays at 8 a.m. Central Time, from November 7 through December 12. If you're a busy mom who could use 30 quiet minutes, I'd love to see you there. And if you're in the middle of fertility treatment, this is only the beginning. There's more coming, and it's being built with you in mind.
Come as you are. I'll see you on the mat. Sign up here.
Private and Group Yoga with Doula Support
Busy moms are where we start. They're not where this practice stops. Future classes will focus mostly on women who are trying to conceive or in the middle of fertility treatments. That's the heart of this work, and I'm building toward it. If you are already working with me as your fertility doula, yoga is now a part of your care! I'm offering 1:1 and small group sessions built around where you are in your journey. If you're not working with me and you're wondering whether this kind of support fits where you are right now, take the Fertile Ground fertility doula quiz.
Coming in 2027
Next year, I'm launching an eight-week program called Mind-Body Fertility for women dealing with infertility at any stage. This holistic fertility support circle will weave gentle movement, guided journaling, sharing circles, and faith-based reflection in small groups. Find out more here and stay tuned for more awesomeness from Fertile Ground Yoga. It's where healing takes root!
